Salesforce DevOps is similar to traditional DevOps but is specifically designed for managing and optimizing Salesforce environments.

It focuses on helping organizations efficiently scale and customize their Salesforce processes. This includes building new features, making changes, and deploying updates.

The goal is to integrate and test these changes through a release pipeline before they go live in production. Salesforce DevOps promotes collaboration among all Salesforce experts, regardless of their technical skills or job roles, to ensure continuous and iterative development and release cycles.

Example:

Imagine a company that uses Salesforce to manage its customer relationships. They want to add a new feature to their Salesforce system to improve how they track sales leads. Using Salesforce DevOps, the team can:

Customize the Salesforce Org: Developers and admins work together to design and build the new feature.

Build and Test: The new feature is built and then passed through automated tests to ensure it works correctly.

Deploy Changes: Once tested, the feature is deployed to a staging environment for further testing and feedback.

Release to Production: After final approval, the feature is released to the live Salesforce environment.

Throughout this process, Salesforce DevOps tools and practices help the team collaborate efficiently, manage changes smoothly, and ensure high-quality releases.
